 What is the next letter in this series?

"... the last shall be first..."  and a mirror.  Taking the last letter of each word in this series, the next letter is N, as in teN.

      Perhaps I should clarify. I had "M" completing the set to anagram to "one extreme", but a set is not a series, is it? M is not Q; Q is the 17th letter of the alphabet; and gadgets are prone to mysterious breakdowns.
