Menagerie

Q:

 Think of a type of artisan.  Add one letter and rearrange the result to name a fish.

    I now have them all. (Think Homer Simpson and Scotch Tape.)

    I got the third one, but haven't been able to figure out the first two. Haven't figured out David's corollary, either, but it reminded me of a perky young lady in Minneapolis, so I guess things are rather looking up.

    But I still think that MTM kitten merits something...after all, ...it 'mews', doesn't it?

      Would it help if you were told that the mammal appears to have been hungry?

      Also, did you notice the connection between the on-air NPR Sunday Puzzle and the third of Tommy Boy's puzzles (in two separate ways)?

    Actually for the type of artist, I had "mural", which led to "lemur". That meant all three art answers start with the letter "m", which led to my Homer Simpson comment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-4P1WPE-Qg). Scotch tape is made by 3M, my other comment.

    The center of "lemur" is "emu", which led to my hungry mammal comment and is also a reference to the on air quiz, where the answer was consecutive letters in a sentence. The other connection to the NPR segment was that the on-air players NPR station was WEMU.

    Finally, my added puzzle answer was Knitter / Kitten, which made Paul's comment interesting.
