Think of a six letter word meaning "man". Add an E and a W somewhere in the word (without rearranging any letters) to name something the man might consume.
Swap an O and an R for the E and W. Change the first letter to an S and rearrange the result to name something this particular man might wear.

The title is the first part of a familiar phrase - "No way, Jose". The image is some arrows.
Hombre Homebrew Sombrero
The culture most likely to use the initial six letter word is also the culture most likely to use what the man might wear.
ReplyDeleteI find that the photo clue is only good for a rhyme.

ReplyDeleteAgain you've put up a Vigenère cipher, but now with a different keyword. Many weeks ago I started the tradition here of posting spoilers ROT13'd. Since there's no prize to be won here I thought it a nice way to put up a guess and maybe get a reply from Tommy Boy, also ROT13'd, to let you know if you got it right.
My intention was NOT to invite people to complicate the puzzle by different, more clever ciphers and challenging everybody to decript it.
I HAVE FOUND a website that'll let me paste your encoded post and decrypt it, except I still can't because YOU'RE NOW USING A DIFFERENT KEYWORD!!
Two weeks ago, how was anybody supposed to not only realize "Oh, this is a Vigenère cipher!", but also guess that they should try "Siloam" for their keyword? How are we supposed to guess the keyword now?
After some fiddling around, I finally figure'd out that the Vigenère cipher key to Paul's above post is "Jose".
ReplyDeletePor fin, la solucion!
